About Tradewind

“Daniel, can you help us repair our shed?”

“Daniel, can you build us a tiny house?”

“Gosh, it’s so hard to find good carpenters these days.”

“ISO: Carpenter to install a fence!”

“Daniel, my mom’s friend is looking for a carpenter to fix her door.”

Sounds familiar, right? We all know there is a shortage of skilled manual labor, and too often it is hard to find good people who do good work. So in 2025, with more than 10 years of carpentry and woodworking experience, Daniel decided to start Tradewind Carpentry. His goal is to provide high-quality carpentry and home repair services, fair prices, and excellent communication.

Daniel’s carpentry journey began in high school when he started building sets for the local theater. He later attended Dartmouth College where he studied engineering and studio art, worked at the college theater and woodshop, and apprenticed with local builders during his school breaks. Since graduation, Daniel has worked as carpenter and woodworker for a variety of organizations, including TimberHomes (Montpelier, VT), Yestermorrow (Waitsfield, VT), ShackletonThomas (Bridgewater, VT), National Science Foundation (McMurdo Station, Antarctica), and Coffee Point Seafoods (Egegik, AK). He enjoys the creative freedom of working directly with clients and bringing their visions to life.
